Hi, I'm Amanda.
Hi there! I am Amanda, an intern counsellor (in training) with IASH based in Singapore.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” – Carl Rogers
Between moments of joy to periods of frustration, our lives are filled with twists and turns that can be both uplifting and difficult. We don’t have to walk alone in this journey of life, and there are always listening ears and helping hands that we can turn to amidst our trials and tribulations.
Why speak to me?
I believe that everyone deserves to have a non-judgemental and open space to share about the thoughts and issues they have. This space should feel safe, and I am committed to building a safe space together with you through empathy, authenticity and non-judgement.
As someone who believes strongly in a person-centred approach, I hope that our counselling collaboration will give space for you to be yourself, and to work through your experiences in a way allows you to be true to who you are in dealing with life’s challenges. My professional experience in the social sector and passion for social causes has also allowed me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
If you feel ready and would like to share in a collaboration with me, I would love to walk with you to navigate the issues that might be on your mind.
As I am currently still working full time and pursuing part time studies, I am available on some weekday evenings and weekends.
