A bit about me.
A Journey about ME
I was born with hearing loss and surmounted many challenges to complete a Diploma in IT from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I worked in various industries, ranging from education to event management, and I have experienced burnouts and workplace abuse. As I overcame these challenges and issues, I realised that mental health is something that is so critical to well-being, yet it is taken for granted in modern society. Because of this realisation, I began a new journey: I began to pursue a counselling degree, and also obtained a certificate in peer support. I am passionate about the pursuit of mental health, so I believe in going the extra mile to help others.
Why speak to me?
The many challenges I have faced helps me to understand more about the importance of mental health in different areas – careers, finances, health issues, and relationship issues. Through my relationships and my marriage, I learned how to identify unhealthy signs in a relationship as well as how to build healthy bonds within a relationship. So, I can support anyone who may go through difficulties in these areas. Mental health is the key to go beyond just surviving, discover our strengths, and thrive!
