About IASH.SG

We are a ground-up movement taking our first steps into being a social enterprise. Our aim is to make mental health support approachable and accessible!

Our target audience is the 1 in 2 Singaporeans 18 to 35 years old that are struggling with mental health but aren't reaching out for help.

We aim to reach them through two services - Peer support (Hear Buds) and Counsellors (Interns, Residents)

You'll be a valuable person in the organisation, managing our key functions and helping Singaporeans get the help they need :)

Your Role

You'll be working closely with the Head of Platform to assist in coordinating and facilitating bookings between customers (we call them "callers") and our volunteer hear buds. You'll also be working closely with our counsellors to manage all client referrals.

Really, you'll be the key engine that keeps the organisation running - making sure that Singaporeans who are struggling out there are getting the support that they need from our volunteers!

The exciting bits:

If the opportunity comes, you'll also get to meet ministers of parliaments, come along to government meetings, and even an upcoming concert (shh, we can't share details on that yet).

Key Responsibilities

The role approximately involves:

70% Administrative work (WhatsApp, Email, Wix Platform):

Hear Bud Operations:

  • Updating our Volunteer Hear Buds on bookings in our WhatsApp groups

  • Interface with customers through email if there is a change in schedule

  • Training will be provided on using WIX to update Volunteer Availability

Intern Counselling Operations:

  • You'll also get involved on our counselling side (Intern Counsellors) and help to facilitate referrals to counsellors

  • Help in communicating to counselling clients and maintain records (excel)

  • Brainstorming on putting into effect an admin fee for intern counselling

20% Content Creation (Newsletter, Articles):

  • Help out the Social Media Team in generating new content ideas

  • Optional: If you're interested, you can also get involved with upcoming video productions on mental health!

10% Strategy:

  • Help to organise and coordinate meetup events for volunteers (Quarterly)

  • Join in on meetings with other community partners, government

  • Help to improve parts of our business!

Requirements

We really looking for someone who is passionate about mental health, and intrinsically wants to help more people out there.

Essentials:

  • Given the heavy focus on admin work and dealing with confidential information, a high attention to detail is a must!

  • Have access to personal computer / laptop (again, confidential information!)

  • Willingness to learn about using the wix platform

  • Very basic excel skills

  • Good communication

  • Comfortable being in large WhatsApp groups (10+ people)

  • Warm and friendly personality

Nice to have's:

  • Prior experience in a similar role / startup / social enterprise

  • A good head for design and graphics is a plus too

  • Studying Psychology or counselling or something related to mental health :D

  • An interest in thinking about how we can reach more people
