Hello! I'm Doralyn, a Counsellor in Training at IASH.SG.

“Healing begins in a space where compassion is felt, judgment is absent, and your story is held with care. I believe every person carries the wisdom to heal, sometimes it just needs a safe place to unfold.”

Why speak to me?

Life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or heavy at times. Whether you're navigating transitions, emotional pain, or simply longing to be understood, I offer a space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported. I bring a warm, non-judgmental presence to our work together, meeting you with empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for your journey. My role is to walk alongside you, gently helping you reconnect with your inner strength and sense of possibility

My Approach

I practice from an integrative lens, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, These approaches allow me to tailor our work to your unique needs, whether you're seeking to re-author painful stories, shift unhelpful thought patterns, or deepen emotional awareness. I understand what it means to carry the weight of past hurt, experiences that left you feeling unseen, misunderstood, or emotionally alone.

These early wounds shaped my path, and now lead the way I hold space for others. I know how powerful it can be to have your story heard without judgment, and how transformative it is to rewrite the narratives that once silenced or diminished you.

A Little More About Me

As a parent to a teenager, I continue to learn the language of emotional attunement, patience, and repair. Parenting has deepened my understanding of identity, belonging, and the evolving emotional landscape of adolescence. It’s taught me how to hold complexity with grace and how to meet others where they are, not where they “should” be.

Outside the therapy room, I serve as a volunteer teacher, supporting kids aged 4 to 12 years old from low income and disadvantaged family in emotional literacy, empowerment of life skills and cultivating self-worth. I also contribute to Red Cross humanitarian efforts, fostering care and dignity in community settings. These roles reflect my commitment to inclusive, affirming spaces, both in therapy and beyond.
