Hi, I'm Seema.

Hello there! I’m Seema, Counsellor in Training at IASH.SG.
Thank you for visiting my profile and for taking the first courageous step toward seeking support. I hope your counselling journey brings you healing, clarity and a deeper understanding of yourself

Why Speak With Me?
Life can be full of unexpected challenges and sometimes the weight of it all becomes too much to carry alone. Growing up in a single-parent household taught me resilience, but it also exposed me to the emotional struggles that come with feeling different or unseen. Now, as a wife and mother to two teenagers, I continue to witness how life’s transitions and responsibilities can deeply affect our sense of self and connection with others.
These personal experiences have shaped the way I relate to those who are navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, stress or simply trying to hold everything together for those around them. I believe that no experience diminishes your value and that healing becomes possible when we are met with compassion and understanding.
In our time together, I aim to create a warm and safe space where you feel seen and heard. I see counselling as a shared journey and I am here to support you as you explore your challenges, gain clarity, and rediscover your strengths. You do not have to walk this path alone.
My Approach
I work from an integrative counselling perspective, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Choice Theory or Reality Therapy. This allows me to respond to your unique needs and tailor our work in a way that feels both supportive and effective.
At the core of my approach is the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I aim to be a steady and compassionate presence, offering a collaborative space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, struggling with self-worth, or navigating the challenges of motherhood and daily stress, I hope to support you in moving toward clarity and confidence.
Who I Work With
I feel especially drawn to supporting individuals who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and parenting or family-related stress. If you are facing difficulties in relationships, struggling with self-image, or feeling overwhelmed by emotional pressure, know that you are not alone.
I also hold space for those who are experiencing the impact of discrimination or trying to manage intense emotions and daily stress. Whether you are in the midst of a life transition or simply need a safe place to process and be heard, I am here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner strengths and move toward healing.
