Hi, I'm Adeline

Hello! I'm Adeline, a Counsellor in Training at IASH.SG.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed but found yourself pushing through anyway, you’re not alone. Through my corporate background, I’ve seen how stress and pressure quietly affect our mental and emotional well-being. I work with people from different backgrounds and life situations, and I understand how easy it is to keep going on the outside while struggling on the inside. Along the way, I have also supported people close to me through challenges such as anxiety and addiction, deepening my understanding of how complex and isolating these experiences can feel. These experiences shaped my desire to support others in finding healthier ways to cope, especially when life starts to feel heavy or unmanageable.
My Approach
My approach to counselling is supportive, collaborative, and centred on helping you feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are. I believe that while it’s helpful to understand why we feel a certain way, real change comes from learning how to respond to those feelings differently.
In our sessions, I occasionally incorporate experiential methods—such as simple guided exercises or reflections, sometimes through art or other creative approaches—to help you connect more deeply with your thoughts and emotions, rather than only talking about them. These approaches are always tailored to your comfort level, and are designed to help you better understand yourself, manage difficult emotions, and navigate challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of control.
You can expect our sessions to be a safe, non-judgemental space where you are free to be yourself. I will meet you where you are, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, burnout, feeling stuck, or navigating other challenges, I am here to support you in making sense of your experiences and working towards meaningful change.
I see counselling as a shared process—one where you don’t have to figure everything out alone. Together, we will work towards helping you feel more balanced, understood, and better equipped to navigate life in a way that feels sustainable and true to you.
