CLOUD BUDS

Got a calm presence and a knack for making people feel at ease?
We're looking for volunteers to facilitate IASH Clouds — small weekly groups
where people come together to connect, share, and build genuine friendships ☁️

What are Clouds?

Clouds are small groups of 5–6 people who meet weekly for 4 facilitated sessions. As a facilitator,
your role is to break the ice, hold a warm and safe space, and help the group get comfortable
enough to carry the connection on their own after the 4 weeks.

What to expect?:

  • Facilitate 4 weekly group sessions (60–75 mins each)

  • Keep the group chat warm with light prompts between sessions

  • Be the main point of contact for your group members

  • Send a quick debrief to the coordinator after each session

  • Learn skills like:

    • Creating psychological safety in a group setting

    • Active listening and gentle facilitation

    • Managing group dynamics (quiet members, dominant voices)

    • Holding space without fixing, advising, or steering

    • Knowing when and how to escalate if something feels heavy

Requirements:

  • You should not have a formal background in counselling or be using this space to practise therapy — the facilitator role is strictly focused on holding space and gentle facilitation, not therapeutic intervention

  • Is 18 years old and above

  • Can commit to facilitating a full 4-week cycle (same weekly slot)

  • Comfortable being a warm, consistent presence for a small group

What you'll get:

  • A full facilitator guide and participant profiles before you start

  • Regular check-ins and support from the coordinator throughout

  • The chance to help spark connections that can last well beyond the 4 weeks 🤍
