Hi, I'm Amy.
Greetings! I’m Amy, a counsellor practising in Singapore. I am volunteering with IASH.sg.
Life can be harsh and difficult at times. We may not always be able to get emotional support from our family and friends. Their well-meaning advice may sometimes be counterproductive and exacerbate our difficulties. Regardless of your challenges, I will provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you to share your thoughts, emotions and experiences. In the words of Sigmund Freud, “Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise”.
You are not alone in your struggle. Let us take this journey together.
Why speak to me?
Every individual is unique, which is why I believe in collaborative approaches and open-mindedness in my sessions. I can work with people of differing faiths, beliefs and sexual orientations.
My goal is to support you and help you gain insight into what is happening, so that you can develop more confidence to deal with the challenges and set achievable goals to improve your emotional and mental health.
I have helped people:
Learn how to cope with anxiety, low self-esteem and depression
Process and strive for closure from traumatic events
Navigate issues arising from work, parenting, romantic relationships, divorce and racial discrimination
I am available on weekday evenings and weekends. Do reach out to me at least a week in advance so that we can work something out.
My Hourly Rates
S$30 per hour for the first session, followed by S$50 per hour
< S$50 if you are facing financial difficulties (please share and the information will be kept private and confidential)
(All monies received go to IASH.sg)
