Hi, I'm Anu.

Hello there. I'm Anu, a Counsellor in Training at IASH.SG.
If you're here, chances are you might be carrying a weight too heavy to hold alone. I have carried my share of weight too, and it's what brought me to counselling. Being met consistently, with compassion and calm, during a period of loss and overwhelm, enabled me to reclaim myself. My hope, as a counsellor, is to be that steady presence for you.
About Me
Before training as a counsellor, I spent 25 years in corporate leadership, managing global strategy and steering organisations through complex change. Along the way, I also mentored senior leaders, working mothers, and young adults through professional challenges, difficult transitions, and uncertainty. More recently, my work with the Parkinson's Society Singapore, various ageing care organizations, and the local community has deepened my appreciation for the complex needs of individuals and families and the invisible burdens they often carry alone.
What Our Sessions Might Look Like
Expect space, not a plan. I won't come in with an agenda, and you don't need to arrive with answers or even the right words. Wherever you're starting from is precisely where we begin.
We might spend some of our time talking things through in detail. You might also find there are moments of quiet, where nothing needs to be filled or fixed right away. Both are welcome.
I might revisit something that was said or left unsaid earlier. I’ll ask questions, offer gentle observations, and sometimes invite you to venture a little deeper, but I will never tell you what to think or do.
My work is grounded in a person-centred approach — I trust that you know your own life better than anyone else could and I believe you already have what you need inside you. My role is to stay curious alongside you — not to provide the answers, but bear witness as you find your own.
Fifteen years of yoga and breathwork practice have taught me how much wisdom the body holds — and how much it can unlock, when given room. That awareness shapes how closely I listen, and how I hold space for what's being felt, not just what's being said.
Above all, expect to be met with genuine warmth, patience, and zero judgment, whatever you bring.
