Hi, I'm Joey.

Hi, I am Joey, an IASH.sg counsellor in training :)
If you've ever felt weighed down by something you can't quite put into words, you're not alone. I've been through my own seasons of heaviness, and I’ve seen firsthand how trauma can shape a person and the relationships around them. These experiences have given me a real respect for how complex that kind of struggle can be, even when someone looks like they're holding it together on the outside. They're part of why I do this work, to help create a space where you don't have to hold it together, and where what feels heavy can be met with care rather than judgement.
My Approach
I work from a blend of Person-Centered Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In practice, that means two things: I won't tell you what to do or how to feel, because you know your life best, but I'll also help you notice your strengths and the small, practical steps that move you forward instead of focusing only on what's gone wrong.
You can expect our sessions to be an unhurried, non-judgemental space where you're free to be yourself. I'll meet you where you are, at whatever pace feels right, whether you're working through anxiety, a difficult transition, feeling stuck, or trying to make sense of a season of change.
Why Speak With Me?
You might reach out if you're looking for a space that's warm, unhurried, and free of judgement, where you can explore whatever is present for you, whether that's stress, a life transition, a relationship, or simply the question of what any of this means. I'm especially drawn to working with people who are in a season of change or searching for a deeper sense of meaning and direction. Together, we'll go at your pace, toward greater clarity and a fuller understanding of yourself.
