Hi, I'm Kate.

Hi, I'm Kate.
I am a Counsellor with a background in Psychology and Counselling Psychology. Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations and individuals experiencing mental health challenges. These experiences have deepened my belief that every person deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or alone in their struggles, helping them find hope, clarity, and confidence in moving forward. I believe that healing is not about "fixing" people, but about helping them reconnect with their strengths, make sense of their experiences, and move towards a life that feels meaningful to them. By taking a collaborative rather than directive approach, I work alongside clients to explore their challenges, build self-awareness, and discover their own capacity for growth and change.
My Approach
My work is primarily grounded in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), which emphasises empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a warm and accepting environment where clients feel safe to be themselves and explore difficult emotions at their own pace.
I also draw from Choice Theory, believing that individuals have the capacity to make meaningful choices aligned with their values and needs, even amidst challenging circumstances. In addition, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create practical changes in their daily lives.
I hope to provide a compassionate and supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to navigate life's challenges. I see healing as a long, evolving journey—not a quick fix, and I hope that I can be here to support you in your journey.
