Hi, I'm Sheryln.

Hi, I am Sheryln, an IASH.sg counsellor in training :)
I’m grateful you found your way here! Therapy is the first act of courage and compassion toward the part of you that longs for change.
A Little About Me
My interest in counselling was sparked by a series of volunteer experiences. It widened my horizons and reminded me that there is a larger world out there — one where different lives are lived, and one where I could be more involved beyond my tiny fortunate bubble. Nothing felt more rewarding than the pure joy of the beneficiaries and the connections forged through every precious encounter. I continued to wonder how I could be a larger part of people’s lives, making a longer lasting impact instead of being a one touch wonder. With that, I took a huge leap of faith, bid farewell to my comfort zone, and embarked on a transformative endeavour towards a helping profession in psychotherapy. I am passionate about connecting with individuals on a meaningful level while unravelling the depths of human experiences. It has thus far been a true privilege to witness resilience and growth! My experiences have also shaped my personal perspective that life is about experiencing and exploring. You might not see it yet, but setbacks are not endings; they are often redirections towards paths you might never have discovered otherwise.
My Approach
It is fascinating how in therapy, two people who begin as strangers can unveil heartfelt stories and deeply personal secrets, marking the beginning of healing. I believe genuine empathy and unconditional positive regard are at the heart of this process, creating a safe and non-judgmental space. This is what I seek to offer in every session. Alongside a collaborative and person-centred stance, I will incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Choice Theory Reality Therapy, always personalising the therapy experience to your unique needs. I hope to invite self-reflection and self-exploration, fostering deeper insight and personal growth, one step at a time.
